COPENHAGEN, DENMARK, 25 August, 2026 - Gefjon Pharma ApS has entered a collaboration with Swedish CDMO NorthX Biologics to prepare for future commercial production of its first product, EVax/02.

EVax/02 is a vaccine designed to prevent E. coli infections in poultry, one of the most significant bacterial challenges facing the global poultry industry. The vaccine reduces farmers’ reliance on antibiotics and thereby helps limit the development of antimicrobial-resistant bacteria, which claim many lives worldwide every year. At the same time, the vaccine improves animal welfare and supports more cost-efficient and sustainable food production.

A Broader Ambition Behind the Vaccine

While EVax/02 will be the company’s first product to reach the market, Gefjon Pharma’s ambitions extend far beyond a single vaccine.

The company’s platform technology simplifies the production of biologics and significantly reduces manufacturing costs. This creates new opportunities to develop and commercialize products that were previously too complex or too expensive to bring to market.

The collaboration with NorthX Biologics marks an important milestone for Gefjon Pharma as the company transitions from product development toward commercial manufacturing and launch.

NorthX will contribute with expertise in process development, scale-up and GMP manufacturing to support the next stage of EVax/02's development.
